Massage has benefits for people in both the physical and mental/emotional components of health.

Physically, massage is shown to reduce blood pressure, loosen tight muscles, help with the clearing of metabolites and calcification from within muscle and joints.

It is also effective in reducing the feelings of pressure and sensitivity in the head, neck and back. From this point, the improvement in physical condition allows for increases in performance, the ability to live life with decreased pain and restriction, ultimately, this allows people to live life feeling capable as opposed to limited.

This leads into the mental/emotional side of massage and its associated benefits. The physical responses induced by massage causes the body to reduce the secretion of stress hormones (e.g. cortisol, histamines, adrenaline etc.) and increase the secretion of anabolic and calming hormones (e.g. endorphins, serotonin, dopamine), as well as increase red blood cell production, fat oxidation, digestion and much more.

The combination of these healthy improvements in physical and mental health make massage an ideal tool for the development of a healthy, strong lifestyle and more balanced mental/emotional mind state.
